Emily Evans BSc PGCE MMAA is an anatomist, medical artist, author and teacher. Alongside running her business in anatomical art, Emily taught as a senior demonstrator of anatomy at Cambridge University for over a decade. Additionally, Emily has written a number of books about contemporary art and anatomy & is the owner of Anatomy Boutique. She has given many talks about the use of anatomy in contemporary art practice both in the UK & USA.
Since moving to Cornwall, Emily co-created wild swim brand Mor Swimmy and paints the Cornish landscape.

Emily has been illustrating medical textbooks since 2004 for many of the main publishing houses in both the UK and USA including Hodder, Taylor and Francis, Dorling Kindersley, Elsevier, Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, and Sphere.

Emily is the owner and designer at Anatomy Boutique®, a brand that makes unique products with an anatomical twist.
The collections at Anatomy Boutique® aim to emulate a bit of magick; appreciating the beauty of our internal universe.
Books and publishing
Anatomy in Black is Emily’s first book. It is a sophisticated coffee table book for anatomy lovers illustrating the beauty of human anatomy reflected in a contemporary hardback book, created entirely in black and gold. Now in its sixth print run.
Emily’s Publishing imprint Anatomy Boutique Books specialised in books that showcase the realm where anatomy and art collide. Publications include: The Anatomical Tattoo & The Secret Language of Anatomy. In 2018 Emily was invited to speak at Hay Literary Festival about The Secret Language of Anatomy.
